The only thing I don't like is that little sail like thing above the bed on the Chevy. Otherwise, I have always like the lines on the Chevy and nose on this model especially. The GMC looks like a 'uh we don't need a grill so we'll make this anyway' vs just a nose on the chevy. Not a fan of...
They have longer videos on Youtube, that was what I was referencing in knowing what the F150/R1T can do, as they have both. about 110 miles with an Airstream, and then 45-50m to charge. We need better charge setups to handle stuff like a truck/trailer. Any trailer will have to disconnect or...
not enough detail for me. Anything can tow great for 100 ft, what's the range changes when you start towing and how fast can you charge it back up and keep going? We know this now with the F150 and Rivian R1t (a long ass time) and they should be pushing it pretty hard if the 800V / 350W...
not really, they haven't posted much.
Keep in mind not sure what your definition of 'narrow' is but lithium batteries generally are good between 40-80 all the time. So the thermal management system will work to keep it there unless you have the WTF mode like on the Hummer or WOW mode I think...
It won't, because it's really charging at 400V x 2. That is probably the neatest feature to me. Still using 400V architecture, but the pack is electrically split in two and uses both 'legs' of the 800V charging system to charge two packs at 400V.
I mean anytime you charge a battery you reduce...
they've pretty adamantly answered 'it won't' on the R1S, they stripped some features on the R1T 400 mile version (two motors, performance, etc). Not to mention it'll take forever to charge a bigger battery since they're not doing what Chevy is doing and splitting the pack 'in two' electrically...
Compared to the other EV Trucks there sure seems to be little/no information about this vehicle, would think Chevy would me more forthcoming this far along, unless the Truck isn't coming out until much later than originally though.
That said I really wish they'd had a Colorado model, I don't...
Interesting choice of using the sopranos for the actors I guess, not one I'd have made. unless your target market is people who watch a 20 year old show.
I get that these are the big boys talking vs a startup but at the same time, batteries have got to come from somewhere and I'm not aware of a giant ultrium factory hidden away they still got a lot of batteries to make.
there was no color choice for me, just 'WT or RST' reservation.
We'll see about the fallout, but yeah for $100 it was great option for me. I have an R1T 'Max Pack' on reserve and it's maybe 2H23 at the moment, while the Silverado is bigger than I need the 400 miles and their unique dual charge...
I added my reservation, it's only the fourth EV now I have on reservation. I've owned EV and been exclusively EV since 2017, we currently have a Tesla Model X, and a VW ID.4.
My first car was my Dad's 1971 Chevy Silverado, lots of fond crazy kansas small town kid memories with that vehicle...
