wonder what the ground clearance will be on the base model. I was watching a vid that spoke about different ride heights and driving modes, but all they are showing is the ridiculous $105k Silverado
Either way I want my EV truck asap. I am tired of placing reservations only to wait years to get one. Plus fleet sales are still lower when compared to regular sales.
They are not bad, but definitely not in 24"s. I see they do have a 20" version. Wish they had at least 18". Not exactly into the whole brodozer look that they could take on though.
That may be true, but you also don't want to have your "loyal" customers be the beta testers then. If fleet buyers tend to be more loyal why would you want to give them first dibs on a totally new product that will 100% have some kind of issue and risk losing their loyalty.
Most companies main customers are commercial buyers, not fleet. Fleet is just added sales. Commercial buyers are their main business so it makes sense to focus on your main revenue first
based on the amount of reservations the public does, yes. It's not about need, it's about what will bring chevy the most money. Most companies do not release a vehicle like this in a fleet version before the commercial version.
Sounds about right. I just rewatched part of the announcement and they say they will release the WT in spring of 2023 including a base model followed by the first edition in the fall of 2023. Seems like from their webpage that they will be screwing over the general public.
It's annoying when they talk up the fleet version to the public. I don't give 2 shits about that and when publicly announcing a new truck they should be focusing on the model we can buy.
I haven't seen any date for when they will take reservations. If they were smart they would do it soon and play off the popularity of the lightening and Silverado. Seeing the price of the ICE Sierra Denali the EV will not be cheap
Smart that they did that, but too bad they didn't do some kind of redesign because I think the lightening just looks so basic. Guess that is what they were going for when trying to convert hardcore f150 ICE owners to EV.
just because the lightening is based on the ICE version does not mean parts are interchangeable or that there will be a ton of mods for the EV. Companies will still have to redesign stuff for the EV trucks. The popularity of these vehicles though should open up the aftermarket though.
Like I said in another thread I would rather have 18", but 20s would do. If they don't have size options then the wheels will be the first thing I replace
I was interested in that trim too. I am wondering what the ground clearance is on WT and if it's adjustable because if it's good I won't wait for the trail boss
