With a mid-gate, waterproof bed cover and the A/C on, the Silverado EV might just be an awesome camper truck!!

That thought popped in my head as soon as I saw the midgate during the presentation.
A beautiful thing about EVs are a lot of them have a camping or utility mode that allows you to keep the cabin heated or cooled while you sleep.
I hope this one has something similar.

It will for me for sure! I hope GM will offer the Work Truck trim with this feature… that will be the ultimate, cost effective rugged truck and camper

Used my Avalanche that way on a few occasions or crank the heat to take the chill off before bed. At least with this one you won’t have to run the ICE. I’m hoping they make a bed tent for it like they did the Avalanche. I used that every other weekend for several summers.

Hopefully, for those who want it, GM makes the midgate available on the lower trims for a reasonable cost.
