Since placing my order, the dealer has contacted me via phone call and email several times thanking me for my order. Similar to the call I got just after placing my order. They haven't had any new information, just to say thanks. Wondering if GM is pushing these communication in light of the lack of communication from my ford experience. Anyone else getting these?

Not me. Just initially got two sales persons reaching out separately and that was it. I did mention that I do not expect anything until 24 and I should be contacted only when there is new information like pricing available.

I received an email, from my selected dealer, within minutes of placing my reservation. This was followed up by a phone call and request for an additional $1000 to finalize my reservation. I declined and immediately changed to a different dealer. Eventually they called back and said they had changed their deposit policy and asking if I wanted to change back.

I did receive an email from a salesman at the new dealership after changing.

That's hilarious. Hopefully they learned their lesson. I did get a couple nice emails from my dealer, but thankfully no attempts at extortion.

I received an email from both a salesman, and a customer service specialist. The salesman just asked if I had any questions which I told him I did not, but would probably have some as more information gets released. The customer service specialist just wanted to know how I liked to be contacted - phone, text, or email.

I reserved within a minute or two of reservations opening and I haven’t heard anything else since that day.

I got an initial email, but that was it. Makes sense since I probably won't see my Silverado till 2045 even though I ordered in the first min

“Order”? I have made a deposit but have not been invited to order. I did get a couple of “thank you” emails revving me up about my 2025 Silverado EV. One phone call placing me at #4 of 85 at the dealership. My second deposit at a different dealership has no results from repeated requests for allocations/my position. Feels like FoMoCo playbook.

No one has placed an "order." All of us have simply reserved a truck. I suspect sometime in 2023, we will be invited to sit down and actually place an order with our dealer.

I contacted my salesman days before the reservations were open; you see, I'm already buying a 2024 Corvette E-Ray from them. Once I made the reservation, he sent me the standard Silverado welcome email that they send to all but he and I talk all the time.

My Dealer sells Ordered Corvettes at MSRP; same deal for my Silverado...

Good for you getting your Vette at MSRP, the dealership here in Bossier City, is breaking the rules before the new Z06 hit the street. Shame on them

There are only 3 major chevy dealers that I know of that will NOT charge ADM for an Ordered Corvette and in my case, my Ordered Silverado: Ciocca (formerly Kerbeck) in PA, MacMulkin in NH, and Criswel in MD.
